#Prodigy mural DEFACED just hours after completion in Queens! [details]

Who on Earth would deface a memorial for fallen rapper Prodigy of Mobb Deep??

A mural commemorating the late rapper Prodigy of the duo Mobb Deep was vandalized less than 24 hours after it appeared on the side of a Queens building.

The hip hop artist’s onetime friend and collaborator Cormega shared a photo of the defaced mural on Instagram Saturday.

“This is some sucker s--t,” Cormega captioned the photo.

White paint appeared to be splattered over the image of the legendary artist. The mural was painted on the side of nonprofit Urban Upbound’s building on 13th Street and 40th Avenue, across from the housing project Prodigy grew up in.

A crew immediately began refurbishing the work of art.
“I am honored to have curated this project and even more grateful in colaborting with the talented portrait artist @jeffhenriquezart—gracias hermano!” Lazare said.

Lazare said the pair of artists created the mural as a place for Prodigy’s friends and family to “see you and reminisce of the great memories they lived through you and by your side along your journey here on Earth.”
"Return of The Mac. Mural being fixed," Cormega captioned a photo showing workers on scaffolding cleaning the piece.

Artists Jeff Henriquez and Eli “Eli Los” Lazare spent five days creating the mural.
