Snoop Dogg made his OPINIONS quite obvious in his LATEST video for Nightfall Remix (BADBADNOTGOOD X KAYTRANADA- Lavender). In the latest visual, Uncle Snoop points a NOVELTY gun at a CLOWN that looks alot like our current president. In the Jesse Wellens-directed clip fires the toy gun at the Trump impersonator, a flag reading “BANG” is then released. Some LAWMAKERS and critics aren't LAUGHING at the GAG.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio says it’s “wrong.”
“Snoop shouldn’t have done that. We’ve had presidents assassinated in this country before so anything like that is really something we should be careful about,” Rubio told TMZ. “I think people could disagree on policy, but we gotta be careful with that kind of thing, because the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, you can have a real problem. I’m not sure what Snoop was thinking. He should think about that a little bit. I would not have accepted it if it were President Obama. I certainly don’t accept it as President Trump. In all fairness, it’s not funny, it’s not artistic.”
Trump's LAWYERS had something to say about the video as well: “It’s totally disgraceful,” he told TMZ in a separate interview. “Snoop owes the president an apology. There’s absolutely nothing funny about an assassination attempt at a president. I’m really shocked at him because I thought he was better than that. : I’m not really sure I understand the artistic value to having somebody dressed up as Trump and firing a weapon at him.
Snoop responded to the criticism:
“When I be putting shit out, I don’t ever expect or look for a reaction,” he said. “I just put it out because I feel like it’s something that’s missing. Any time I drop something, I’m trying to fill in a void. I feel like it’s a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody’s dealing with the real issue with this fucking clown as president, and the shit that we dealing with out here, so I wanted to take time out to push pause on a party record and make one of these records for the time being.”
We don't think Snoop cares one way or the other what they think of his video... IN CASE YOU MISSED the CONTROVERSIAL CLIP---HERE IT GOES...
