NEW VIDEO: #MariahCarey 'I Don't' feat. #YG [vid]
Mariah Carey is still ON FIRE despite kicking off the year a bit ROUGH with that now INFAMOUS 'Rockin New Year's EVE' gig. MC proves why she is still here and music has stood the test of time. SHAKING IT OFF, she is back with the soon to be BREAK UP anthem of 2017, 'I Don't'. We got a TASTE of the track on the finale of 'Mariah's World' and now we get the FULL HELPING with a little DASH of WEST COAST rapper, Y.G. On the NEW TRACK, we have MC venting about an ex. “When you love someone,” sings Mimi over a sample of Donell Jones’ smash hit “Where I Wanna Be.” “You just don’t treat them bad / You messed up all we had / Now, you think I’m comin’ back / But I don’t.”
From her docu-series, we are lead to believe this song came about after her SPLIT from billionaire, James Packer.
Carey recently revealed that she plans to release a series of singles throughout the year and eventually an album. “I’m gonna be doing singles, because it’s more fun for me to just write singles and not focus totally on doing one whole album,” she said. “It seems like a lot more fun to just sit down, write a single, collaborate.” she said on a Facebook LIVE session from February 2nd! I guess dropping singles an no album, she can GUAGE the waters to see which MUSIC resonates with the FANS before doing an album. MAKES SENSE since her last project after NUMEROUS setbacks and TITLE CHANGES did not meet the SALES RECORDS Carey is KNOWN for.
