Before we get any ANGRY COMMENTS and email, let's PREFACE this by saying Mariah Carey is one of the GREATEST entertainers in the WORLD. MC has won 5 Grammys out of 34 nominations and has sold MILLIONS of records around the WORLD. This is what we know, so there is not DOUBT that she can sing. NOW THAT that is out of the way. Last night at 'Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve' gig...that was a MELTDOWN! That was just embarrassing to say the least.
I mean she was doing GREAT with 'Auld Lang Syne' but the WHEELS FELL OFF after that and 'Emotions' was a TRAINWRECK! To her defense she did say at the beginning that “We can’t hear,” in the opening seconds of “Emotions” after she sashayed down the stage before more than one million people out to have, what else, a ROCKIN NEW YEAR'S EVE, right? After that she kinda just did a FASHION show around the stage, attempting to add a few sound bytes here and there, and letting the DANCER do their thing. I mean at least THEY looked prepared. At one point she even asked the CROWD to sing the words. I mean it was BAD...not Michael Jackson 'Bad' either. You want to REVISIT the NEW YEAR'S EVE NIGHTMARE? Check out the FOOTAGE after the JUMP and we will talk about it on the other side. Now MC is saying she was SABOTAGED! Let's check out MC's 'EMOTIONAL' fashion show set to the sounds of 'Emotions' after the JUMP!!

OKAY. Now that we got through that. Now MC was SUPPOSED to be the HEADLINER if you will. She was the LAST PERFORMER of 2016 and from what you can see from her BODY LANGUAGE, Mariah wasn't in it to win it from the BEGINNING. She TOLD US, 'I CAN'T HEAR'. So with that being said, we already kinda knew what was going to happen. Remember that time she 'COULDN'T HEAR' at the BET awards and she just STOOD HER ASS in one place.
I mean at least she MOVED and TRIED to interact with the DANCERS and even did a LIFT or TWO. So after the TRAGIC 'Emotions' left us ALL IN OUT FEELINGS about what the HELL she was doing, she started out belting that good OLD STAND BY, 'WE BELONG TOGETHER'. Now you can't go wrong with a song you've 'sang' THOUSANDS if not MILLIONS of times onstage and in REHEARSALS, right? WRONG again, like President-Elect Donald Trump would say. She gets to that song and I am thinking it is SMOOTH SAILING FROM HERE ON IN. Then she MESSES THAT UP with the SLOPPY and LAZY LIP SYNC. At that point MC was like 'FUCK IT'! The check is cashed, tell that lady that plays her manager on the show to get the BUS warmed up so we can get the HELL OT OF DODGE. After that FIASCO, she just through it all the way away when she walked off saying 'It gets no better than this.'. CLEARLY, she was being facetious. BECAUSE that was the WORST. Now to her defense again, she said she could not hear. BUT i have seen many a great singer like say a Patti, and Aretha, a Gladys that have SOLDIERED on with out the type pf TECHNOLOGY we have today to make a GOOD song out of a BAD SITUATION. I mean even Beyonce with all the TECHNOLOGY we have has PUSHED THROUGH with MONITOR and EARPIECE issues and has fallen down FLIGHTS OF STAIRS after DANCING and STILL stays on beat and in TUNE. So to blame the TECHNOLOGY... well.... HMMMM.... True. It is man-made and is FALLIBLE to mistake, but if you are a seasoned PERFORMER---you PUSH THROUGH. NOW. Mariah and her TEAM is saying she was 'sabotaged'.
MARIAH issued a BRIEF statement about the DEBACLE:
Shit happens 😩 Have a happy and healthy new year everybody!🎉 Here's to making more headlines in 2017 😂 pic.twitter.com/0Td8se57jr— Mariah Carey (@MariahCarey) January 1, 2017
But NOW the CAMP is saying MC was 'SABOTAGED'!
"I will never know the truth, but I do know that we told them three times that her mic pack was not working and it was a disastrous production," Carey's manager, Stella Bulochnikov, told Us Weekly on Sunday, January 1. "I'm certainly not calling the FBI to investigate. It is what it is: New Year's Eve in Times Square. Mariah did them a favor. She was the biggest star there and they did not have their s--t together."
Bulochnikov added that she was "furious" with TV executive Michael Schimmel and New Year's Rockin' Eve production company, Dick Clark Productions. Typical STELLA, right? BLAME the TECHNOLOGY.
"They acknowledged that they knew her inner ears were not working," she said. "They did not cut to a commercial. They did not cut to the West Coast feed, they left her out there to get ratings." This could be TRUE. But this is NOT the first LIVE performance Mariah has ever done. If the SHIT is not right coming out the gate and it's the FAULT of the VENUE... STOP the PERFORMANCE, or just don't go out on that stage. the PRODUCTION will SCRAMBLE and make some shit work THEN to avoid DEAD AIR, right? It was LIVE. So if you are UNSURE...tell your fans and the CROWD-- 'NO SHOW TONIGHT'. CATCH ME TOMORROW on #Mariah's World, good night...and BEAT IT TO THE PLANE or HELICOPTER or whatever mode of transportation that would allow her to LIE DOWN as she was TAKEN AWAY.
Dick Clark Productions has not yet responded to a request for comment but sources from the company told TMZ that the sabotage claims are "silly." I mean it DID make for GOOD RATINGS i'm sure, but why would they need to stoop that LOW for RATINGS. ABC is not HURTING in the RATINGS GAME. Now if it were NBC, not maybe those 'SABOTAGE' claims may be a bit more REASONABLE. You know they can BARELY get a HIT SHOW over there...but that is another TOPIC for another day.
So MC, pick yourself up and DUST YOURSELF off. The SILENCE of the LAMBS is DEAFENING--they still LOVE YOU and this too shall pass. BUT IN THE FUTURE---make sure your MACHINE is TIGHT before you go EMBARRASS yourself in front of MILLIONS then take the MONEY! LOL. I guess MC gets the LAST LAUGH and if she CHOOSES to do a season 2 of 'Mariah's World', this RIGHT HERE is some GOOD ASS material for that. SO.. ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL, right as Sheneneh Jenkins from 'Martin' would say. At least the DANCER know their JOBS are intact. LOL. They DANCED their ASSES off despite all the ISSUES. Some other members of the TEAM maybe folding Tees and jeans at 'Old Navy' by week's end.
